Dilan Tulsiani is a Writer-Director from North-West London/Edinburgh. Dilan is a music video and narrative film director interested in depictions of violence, visualising authority and interwar cinema. Over the last few years, Dilan has been accepted onto various filmmaking and writing schemes including: The Grierson Trust, Sky Arts, Kiln Theatre, Tara Theatre etc. More recently, he has been shortlisted on the Netflix screenwriting competition and is in development with narrative projects.

He is also interested in photography and journalism. In 2024, Dilan published an article with Brown History on British Asian cinema. Outside of filmmaking he works as a tutor at the University of Edinburgh.

Dilan’s passion for research runs deep. With his degree in history, his thorough approach to character research is unmatched, he delves into historical details with remarkable dedication.
